Later you’ll walk along a road for a short while, but the scenery around it makes it worth it. Today you will see little else, but you can once again enjoy the view of the Galician coast.
This stage of the Camino Portugues along the coast is one of the most beautiful parts of the Galician coast. You walk on natural paths and beautiful nature, going up and down through small hills and bridges. You even go up a mountain via a Roman road! You go back in time more than 100 years. This stage is truly unforgettable.
Today will be an easy and beautiful stage of the Camino Portugues along the coast! You will walk through wooded and vineyards, famous for the Rías Baixas wine, definitely taste it! New beautiful Galician villages await you. Don’t forget to take a look at the beautiful Galician granaries, also known as “Hórreos” that you encounter along the way. If you have time, take a bath in a thermal spring in Caldas de Rei. Legend has it that these waters have healing powers. That’s fun after a long day of walking…

You are almost at the end of your Camino Portugues along the coast! This stage is again a very beautiful one. You will see amazing villages such as Padrón and Pontecesures, with Roman and medieval remains, such as bridges and churches. This is the last stage of the Camino Portugues along the coast! You walk through several villages with many church buildings. This stage is clearly divided into two parts, uphill and downhill. The first part is uphill until you reach Milladoiro, the highest point of today’s hike, and from there you head downhill. You can see the cathedral towers in Agro dos Monteiros, from there you are only 7 km away from Santiago! Enjoy these last kilometers of walking and rest on the Plaza do Obradoiro while you look at the cathedral, satisfied and without too much fatigue. What a great achievement!
