An 8-day walking & Yoga holiday from 27 September to 4 October 2020 in Menorca. Enjoy beautiful walking routes, yoga, delicious healthy local food, wellbeing and nature. Be surprised and inspired by the dazzling beaches of Menorca and its ancient hiking routes. A walking trip where you discover the beautiful island of Menorca. You walk parts of the Cami de Cavalls, a route that runs along the entire coast of the island. In addition to the walking, we inspire you during this 8-day Walking- and Yoga holiday in Menorca with daily yoga and meditation. All this in combination with delicious healthy and local food.
Every morning there is a rejuvenating yoga class. These classes focus on energising your body to prepare yourself for a day of hiking on Menorca. This morning class will focus on opening the lungs and activating the digestive system. We open the heart ready to connect yourself with nature and your fellow hikers. Your class finishes with a partner shiatsu.
Afternoon yoga classes focus on winding down, create peace of mind and finish with a guided full body relaxation. This will prepare you for a good restoring sleep.
Our yoga classes and hikings in Menorca can be done at any level and age. age. Yoga is great to start
the day in a vital way, to improve overall wellness and connect mind, body and spirit. You do exercises to create balance (mental and physical), improve posture and flexibility. We work with breath and energy (prana = life energy). Furthermore there is silent meditation and full guided relaxation.
In addition we offer several meditation moments and a silent walk during this week.

Today is your first day of your yoga and walking trip. After arrival at the airport of Menorca you go to the villa to check in. Then it is time for a closer acquaintance with each other, your yoga teacher and we will go through the program of this yoga and walking week with you. At the end of the afternoon it is time to put on your yoga clothing for your first yoga exercises on the yoga mat.
The day starts with yoga. After breakfast it’s time to walk on Menorca. The first stage on the Cami de Cavalls goes from Cap D’Artrutx to Cala Caldana. This walking route on Menorca takes you along the most beautiful beach in the south of the island of Menorca. The distance is 17 km. You walk on very well-maintained hiking trails between pine forests and on the right the Mediterranean Sea that invites you to take a dip. You will pass the bays of Son Saura, Es Talaier, Turqueta and the most famous beaches of Menorca Cala Macarella and Macarelleta. Here you will also find nice beach bars. After walking and yoga you will go to Ciutadella, an authentic city in the West of the island of Menorca. Here there is dinner. Then you return to the villa.
The morning starts with yoga. After breakfast, we will explore the interior of Menorca during this walking and yoga week. We are going to The Castle of Santa Agueda. This castle is located on an elongated plateau called Santa Àgueda, 264 m above sea level. It is the third highest point on the island behind Monte Toro (358 m) and S’Enclusa (275 m). We walk via an old Roman road to the castle. From there you have a beautiful view of the island of Menorca and the stage that we are going to walk tomorrow on Menorca. At the top of the castle you lay down your yoga mat for a yoga class. Then we visit a building typical of Menorca, a Talaiot. These are large structures, built 1000 BC. and it is still unclear what they were serving for. Dinner is in Formelis.
Today there is a silent walk on the agenda during this walking and yoga holiday. Your Camí de Cavalls stage starts in Binibéquer and ends in Maó, the capital of the island of Menorca. The distance is 18 km. We are in silence and walking about 1,5 hour. The hiking trail is comfortable and without slopes until you reach the Alacaufar tower. From here the hiking route goes to Cala San Esteve and inland. You continue on the hiking trail to Es Castell and through the streets of the old town you arrive in Maó. Along the way there is a guided meditation, of course in silence. Only the yoga mat and you. Dinner is in Maó.
Today we are not going to walk, but we are staying in the villa. Just to have time for yourself! In the morning the yoga class will include a Pranayama as well, which it will make a longer session. In this walking and yoga week in Menorca there is also attention for silent meditation, being mindful. So we end this yoga class in silence. The rest of the day you are free to do what you want. In the evening there is a ´ginger compress´, to calm the sympathetic nervous system.
We start the day with a yoga class. On day 6 of this yoga and walking trip we walk from Sant Tomás to Cala en Porter. The distance is 15 km. This stage is a leisurely walk. You walk along very beautiful coast, such as the cliff area of Atalis, until you reach the beautiful sand and dunes of Son Bou. On one of the most beautiful beaches in Menorca you explain your yoga mat for yoga exercises. After you have passed the hotels of Son Bou, you go up until you see the beach of Llucalari from above, a unique place on Camí de Cavalls. The road then descends to Cala and Porter. We have been told that in Cala en Porter there is a very special place to watch the sunset. Dinner at Cala and Porter.
After waking up there is a meditation session in the villa. For those who want there is the possibility to take a walk again afterwards. From Cala and Porter to Binibéquer. The distance is 13 km. From Cala en Porter the Camí de Cavalls runs through the rolling fields until you reach the canyon of Es Canutells with its Olmos forest. The view and the centuries-old houses represent a part of the history of Menorca. The rest of the day is free to spend. In the evening there is a farewell dinner in the villa.
In the morning, after breakfast, head to Menorca Airport and fly home again.

Eline is qualified Zen Shiatsu and Ryoho Yoga therapist and has been trained by Andzej Gospodarczyk from Ryoho Wellness in Australia and Sati in India.
She provides relaxing and rejuvenating treatments with zen shiatsu also focus on specific health problems, physical or mental, that require extra attention.
The yoga style she gives is a mix of Ryoho (Japanese) yoga therapy and traditional / Sivananda hatha yoga.
