We hiked the Camino Portuguese Coastal Route in September 2024. Annemiek arranged all of the transportation, accommodations, luggage transfers, Camino Passport and a reward dinner. Every day was fantastic! She ensured our experience was seamless and stress free from beginning to end. The taxi driver was prompt and shared fun facts of the city. All hotels were excellent, welcoming and conveniently located near restaurants along the route. The reward dinner was a special surprise in the old part of Santiago. A delicious tasting menu and friendly staff made the meal memorable. Before our departure we received a detailed itinerary, complete with helpful tips, facts and history of the places we would pass each day. Annemiek stayed in touch throughout, and we are so grateful for her care and and this unforgettable journey.
Lastly, the Coastal Route took us along the coast, through lovely old towns, and some forest like areas. The changing landscape provided a variety of interests. Every day was a beautiful adventure. Sometimes our walks were perfectly peaceful and quiet, while other times we thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow pilgrims, and mingling again over dinner. The culture and people of this area of Portugal and Spain are super friendly, and the route is well marked and cared for.
I want to say thank you for organising us on the Camino walk from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Pamplona. Everything went very efficiently; the hotels were all super and the bag transfers very efficient We will do the next stage(s) in 2025 and will contact you in advance to organise us...

Very happy I chose WAW
Very happy that I chose WAW from all those organizations to organize my Camino Primitivo. Annemiek understood very well what I was looking for and WAW arranged everything perfectly, with nice places to stay (some really gem!), and also super nice restaurant suggestions. Enjoyed! And certainly not my last long distance walk!

Excellent quality
We enjoyed our 1st Camino so much. The surroundings were beautiful, the route was tough at times, but doable for us. Everything was well taken care of, the accommodation was good, the luggage transport went smoothly, as did the transfer to and from the airport. The price-quality was excellent. We will definitely contact WAW.travel for the next Camino.
